Sneak Peak: Caillouet Family

So, I was super blessed to capture life with this sweet family of 6, some near and dear friends of our family. I had SO much fun chasing hard after moments with these 4 amazing WILD BEAUTIFUL souls and holding time with them.

Here is a little sneak peak into our action packed photo session... there is more to come.

My New Corner Studio

A friend of mine that I so respect and admire as a photographer pointed out the obvious to me the other day. I have a window in a corner in my room that faces the morning sun, a perfect set up for a little photography fun?

Well, I decided to play and I just love to play with light and my children so... I set up a little backdrop from some old fabric meant for a skirt and I spent some time just holding grace in the morning light, my kind of fun. Here are just a few that I took and just love.

And of course my Spicey Girl want her turn in front of the camera. Show off! ;)

I Heart Faces Photo Contest {Pet Faces}

I was inspired by iheartfaces to capture this beautiful heart framed shot of one of our cats today while we both stopped to just breathe in quiet and fresh air. As we shared a solitude moment together I found it to be the perfect opportunity to stop time and the beauty of His gift, this furry companion who is now sleeping curled up at the end of my feet. I must say this was anything less than a graceful mini photo shoot on my front porch, sprawled out on the ground with my camera aiming at a bench with hearts cut out of it with a cat on the other side. If only they could see the moment I captured, then they would understand my madness...

Winter in the middle of Summer

The Winter Boys

These pictures are moments captured and shared, grace held {literally} of twin boys, Elijah and Isaiah. The Lord double blessed our friends with the gift of two sweet bundles of joy all wrapped up in His love. I fear they may split their mother's heart in two with all of their cuteness and daddy's heart is growing softer by the minute.

Hearts and arms are full of love and joy as these two little boys bring a new season and joy of life into this amazing family. May the LORD bless them and keep them and make His face to shine upon them every day in this new and beautiful journey.

Sweet Shot Tuesday {Welcoming New Life}

In the sacred moments of welcoming new life, our hearts quietly sang...
Behold, children are a heritage from
the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in
the gate.

Psalm 127: 3-5

Project 52: Week 28: {Summer Treats}

{Summer Treats}

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
 Psalm 34:8

Summer brings tasty treats for all creatures. I seem to have taken a liking to taking pictures of the bumble bees as they drink from the flowers. They are diligent workers going from flower to flower quickly and with little regard to me so I was brave to get as close as possible.

Let there be Light

“Let there be light.”
 Genesis 1:3

I love chasing hard after light to expose and illuminate my life in what I believe to be the beauty and truth of His world.

Project 52: Week 27: {Kaboom}

 {Kaboom}

God's love is like a firecracker... "beautiful to watch, to share with others, and just when things are darkest, that's when it's the most brilliant and glorious..."
{words from my daughter and a friend}

Sweet Shot Tuesday {7/3/12}

This Sunday I stalked several bees and got a little to close for comfort in trying to capture them in the moment. I must have looked funny in the front yard of my husband's grandmother's house, also known as the jungle of beauty as you can see here:

 or here:
or here:

But to be honest, I am getting use to looking like a fool as I become more comfortable as a photographer. Anyone else experience this?
